What is RU486?
RU 486 is a synthetic steroid which works by blocking the effects of progesterone, the naturally occurring hormone that is necessary to maintain the uterine lining during pregnancy.
RU486 STARVES* the womb of progesterone, … often used with a prostaglandin, typically misoprostol … which induces powerful contractions of the uterus and causes the dead embryo or fetus to be expelled from the womb.

*Personal note: In starving the womb, the RU486 starves the baby to death!
Is RU 486 safe?
Use of the abortion drug RU 486 has resulted in the deaths of 29 women worldwide, according to a new report.
http://www.lifenews.com/2009/07/31/int-1282/
… 2,207 cases of “adverse events” reported to the FDA from the time of the abortifacient’s approval in September of 2000 through the end of April, 2011. Of those, 612 had been hospitalized.
Are there any lasting effects?
… Edouard Sakiz, former chairman of Roussel Uclaf, the company that developed RU-486, stated:
"As abortifacient procedures go, RU-486 is not at all easy to use... True, no anesthetic is required. But a woman who wants to end her pregnancy has to 'live' with her abortion for at least a week using this technique. It's an appalling psychological ordeal."

Did you know that 40% of Florida’s abortions are NON-SURGICAL?
What are NON-SURGICAL abortions?
Non-surgical abortions are CHEMICAL abortions, meaning that drugs are taken to kill the baby. The most common drug usage is the RU 486.
How does RU 486 work?
FDA-Approved Regimen (2016)
Mifeprex is approved, in a regimen with misoprostol, to end a pregnancy through 70 days gestation (70 days or less since the first day of a woman’s last menstrual period).
The approved Mifeprex dosing regimen is:
·On Day One: 200 mg of Mifeprex taken by mouth
(Personal note: This pill slowly starves the baby in the uterus to death.)
·24 to 48 hours after taking Mifeprex: 800 mcg of misoprostol taken buccally (in the cheek pouch), at a location appropriate for the patient
(Personal note: This pill expels the dead baby from the body of his mother.)
·About seven to fourteen days after taking Mifeprex: follow-up with the healthcare provider
(Personal note: This appointment is to make sure that the dead baby is expelled. If not, a surgical procedure will follow.)
Are there any transgenerational effects?
"RU-486 is the drug which acts on the female reproductive system, and anything that does that we have to be keenly aware of what are called transgenerational effects," said Dr. Bernard Nathanson.
One such drug acting on the female reproductive system was given to women during the 1940s and 1950s to stop excessive bleeding and to prevent miscarriages.
Although the drug proved to be ineffective, it had an unintended side effect:
Many female children of the women who had taken the drug suffered from a transgenerational effect and developed vaginal cancer, which led to numerous mutilating operations and death.
